Having established itself with literally billions of people over thousands of years, acupuncture has survived the test of time. Records show Facial Acupuncture, being practiced in China since the Sun Dynasty (960AD – 1070AD) where the selected upper classes were receiving treatments to help balance internal disharmonies that may have an effect on the face and complexion.

The ancient healthcare book "Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon" was first compiled around 2500 years ago and is generally considered the basis from which Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture, exercise, food as medicine etc) developed. However a form of acupuncture can be traced back to about 4000 years ago.
